Despite budget cuts in many pro grams, UNL's library system received a modest budget increase. The increase in money will buy new volumes said Dean Waddel, assistant dean and professor of libraries. The library currently buys 53,000 volumes yearly. The 36,000 volume geology library will be moved from Morrill Hall to the basement of newly remodeled Bessey Hall. The new library has a projected growth period of 15 years. Waddel said he hopes the move will be completed by Aug. 26. The UNL library system consists of Love Library and 11 branch libraries, including architecture, chemistry, engineering, geology, biological scien ces, mathematics, music and physics libraries on City Campus and C.Y.
