Malashock taped the epi sode during spring break. Malashock won over $14,000 in trips and furniture on the program, which she will receive within three months after tonight's air ing. Malashock is a production assist ant at the Dally Nebraskan. Preparation is under way for the annual election of Silver-Haired Sena tors in the state of Nebraska. The Silver-Haired Unicameral is sponsored by the Nebraska Senior Citizens Coun cil and the June 18 election will be held in all the odd-numbered legisla tive districts in Nebraska. Districts that will be voting in Lincoln are 25, 27 and 29. Eligibility for candidacy is as follows: O You must be 60 years of age or older by June 18, 1085. You must be a registered voter in the state of Nebraska. You must not be a full-time employee (full time constitutes 40 or more hours per week) of Area Agencies on Aging, or other aging service agen cies, or an elected public official. O Your petition must be postmarked no later than midnight May 24, 1985. The term of office is two years. "The Day of the Traitors," a film about the betrayal of Czechoslovakia by its French ally and Great Britain in World War II will be shown in Georgian Suite A of the Nebraska Union today at 7 p.m. The film, sponsored by the Czech Language Komensky Club and UNL mails fall schedules to students UNL students who preregistered should begin receiving their fall 1985 class assignments this week, said Tony Schkade, assistant director of the Office of Registration and Records. The office mailed fall class assign ments by Monday morning at the latest, Schkade said. They are being sent out on the same schedule as last year. Students with incomplete or unde sirable schedules can go through free dropadd during Finals Week, May 6 to , 10, from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room. Students who haven't been assigned to requested courses will receive a let ter with specific steps they need to follow to get those classes. Students who. don't receive either their class assignments or the letter should go to Administration 103. Students can preregister for fall semester until July 9. General registration, will be June 6 and 7 for the first five-week summer sesson, June 10 to July 12. The Bureau of Fire Prevention Is recruiting volunteers fur its Volunteer Fire Inspection Program. The program, "Fire Inspectors Reach Everyone," attempts to combat a major cause of fire deaths in the United States fires in one- and two family dwellings. Since 1981 Lincoln had suffered eight fire deaths In one- and two-family dwellings. The program involves volunteers from Lincoln who are trained by work with Lincoln fire inspectors to detect fire hazards In the home. Pilot tested last year, the program proved successful in reaching numerous Lincoln residents. People interested in the program should call the Bureau of Fire Preven tion at 471-7791. Adults are invited to participate in a spelling bee that will be held to benrfit the Heritage Room at Bennett Martin Library.
