So, regardless if your tastes are AC DC or Count Basle there's something for you to enjoy. Five night clubs that exemplify the scops of mus ical entertainment available in Lincoln are P.O. Pear3, Tha Royal Grove, Mc Gufeys, the Zoo Ear and the Drum stick. P.O. Pears, 322 S. Ninth St., now offers live entertainment Thursday through Saturday. Ben Brett, general manager, said that he chooses band3 heeding suggestions from friends and co-workers and also tries to see a band perform before booking them. Charlie Burton and the Cutouts and Why Not? have played at Pears. Exciter (Top-40), The Switch (reggae), Caribe (reggae, island music) and the Alpha Street Band are all scheduled for upcoming dat es. Cover charge is 89 cents and Brett said crowd response has been good. The newly remodeled Royal Grove, 340 W. Comhusker Highway, features a gigantic stage, pool tables, snack bar, swimming pool and hot tub. The club features a different band each week (usually rock or power pop), with no cover charge. They also sponsor head line acts from time to time. Past shows featured Pat Benatar, The Suburbs and Head East.
