Husker basketball program
As members of the university
student body and supporters of
the DasKeioau program, we are

attitudes toward the basketball
team, particularly Dave Hoppen.
As the school newspaper, we
believe that you should do all you
can to create spirit among the
student body for sports other
than just football We are refer
ring to the photo caption (Daily
Nebraskan, Dec. 14), referring to
a missed shot by Hoppen as
"another errant shot." This ia just
one example of many we have
observed in your sports section.
The Husker basketball program
is now 6-0, the best start in seven
years and we believe it deserves
the support of your sports staff
instead of the criticism and sar
casm you display.
We have a fine basketball pro
gram with excellent, quality play
ers whom we are proud of. We
believe that you should show the
same pride, especially since you
are "representing" the opinion of
the whole student body.
Sure, criticism is a part of the
game, but we ask that support
also become the part of your
game.
