his opponent, immediately aired
a commercial showing a young
girl counting the petals as she
picked them from a flower. When
she reached nine, a man's voice
came in, counting backwards from
nine. When he hit zero bright light
surrounded the girl, she looked
up and the action froze. The man's
voice entered again. "We must
love each other, or die," it said.
"Vote Johnson" covered the screen.
