Herbie Husicer Finis for president
Hcrbie Busker is running for
president of the United States.
He even has a platform. First,
. he will see that the Huskers are in
the Orange Bowl every year. Sec
ond, he hopes to pass legislation
outlawing deformed fields around
the nation, such as Penn State.
Also, he would, see that two pic
tures of Bob Bevahey would be in
every garage.
And, he would increase the
state budget to reduce damage
done by hurricanes to Nebraska.
The reason Herbie is running
for president is that lately he has
received some bad publicity.
Last weekend the Lincoln
Journal-Star published an edito
rial saying Nebraska deserved
something better than a big dumb
cowboy.
"We want to build up his image,
that Herbie is not a big dumb
cowboy but is there to entertain
people," said Bruce Crowther, the
man who keeps Herbie alive.
Crowther said Herbie plans to
make a different appearance
every football game. At basket
ball games, Herbie will be in the
crowd more, Crowther said.
Crowther's main goal is to im
prove the image of Herbie. He
thinks a lot of poeple don't like
Herbie. He wants to change that.
