Hughett has set a personal goal
of making the all-Big Eight team
and said Nebraska could finish in
one of the top two conference
slots. Hughett said consistency
will be the key to a successful sea
son. "We have to play consistent all
year and peak at the end," Hugh
ett said.
The Big Eight race could be a
tight one this year with Missouri,
Colorado and Nebraska compet
ing with the Oklahoma schools
for the championship.
Schuchart said the Big Eight is
one of the top golf conferences in
the nation.
"Every year three or four teams
from the Big Eight qualify for the
nationals," Schuchart said. "And
three teams usually finish in the
top ten. That's not bad for a con
ference with only eigr, '-hools "
