According to the fraterni ty's national executive director, Durwood Owen, recolonization and rush will begin shortly after the other UNL fraternities finish thier initial rush efforts. Loy Todd, the fraternity's area governor, said the Pi Kappa Phi's dont want to compete with the other fraternities. "We're after those people who want to take part in a new and different program," Todd said. The UNL chapter of the fraternity closed in-1972 because of low membership and its inability to recruit more people. Todd, the chapter's last active president, said one of the reasons the fraternity failed was because its house was off campus. Since 1 972, the fraternity has been looking for a house on campus to reorganize. Terrace Hall, the large brick building on Univer sity Terrace will the Pi Kappa Phi's new residence this fall, Todd said. "We're really excited and anxious to be back," he said.
