Continued from Page 8 "The audience is made up mostly of college students," Larsen said. Larsen and Patton said they always are recruiting new talent, both amateur and professional. Budding comedians should contact Larsen or Patton at (474 7340) Patoot's Saloon, to set up a Saturday audtion. Prospective performers must audition a five to 10 minute routine. Everyone will be given a chance, Patton said. "Anyone that does come up for an audition gets a free spaghetti dinner," Larsen said. About seven to 10 people perform each Bad Comedy Night, with 10- to 20-minute routines, Patton said. "Primarily males are in the comedy line-up now. But we would like to see more females get involved," Patton said. The comedians do not compete against each other, because the professionals would have an un fair advantage, Patton said. Professionals are paid and amateurs are given gift certificates. "In the future, we'd like to get a lot of comedians from all over, and perhaps more comedy-musicians," Patton said. In addition, Patoot's maybe holding a "Laugh-Off on the second or third Tuesday in May. Each comedian will come up only once, and the winner will receive a steak dinner, Larsen said. During Bad Comedy Night, there is a Bartender's Drink Special, between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. "It's a fun place to get crazy," Larsen said. "We need as much talent as we can get. We hope all the frustrated Bill Murrays will swallow their pride and come up and audition. It's all for a joke". Rivera's, 1920 West O St. New Decade Friday and Saturday, no cover charge.
