To participate in the Summer Reading Program, attend the spring meetings of the courses in which you are interested. Register now for the course(s) you wish to study during the summer. You will then complete the course work in September by fulfilling the requirements specified by your instructor (meetings, conferences, papers, tests, etc.). Grades will be recorded in October. . For example: Arts and Sciences students have a limit of 30 hours of Summer Reading Course and correspondence hours that will apply tovard a degree. Architecture students need written approval to register for a Summer Reading Course. Therefore, you need to check with your college's requirements before registering for a Summer Reading Course. Maximum of Two only t;vo reading courses can be taken in one summer. Any exception will require the written approval of your advisor andor the dean of your college. REGISTRATION ONLY AT THE DIVISION OF CONTINUING STUDIES Where: 255 Nebraska Center for Continuing Education When: Opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23 - Closes at 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 11 Late Registration: with written permission of the instructor (and payment of a $10.00 late fee) is possible until Wednesday, June 13, 1934. No SRC registrations will be possible after that date. Special Evening Registration Where: 255 Nebraska Center for Continuing Education (North Wing), 33rd & Holdrege .When: April 26, 1934, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Cost; Fu'l payment of Tuition Is Required at Time of Registration Tuition: $33.50 per credit hour Books: Course Materials Be sure to obtain all needed books and supplies in May. Bookstores will carry the required materials under the summer reading course numbenso look for a designation. ;rc"x" GRADING RESTRICTIONS Grades of "W" and "I": There will be no grades of "W" or "I" given for SRC "x" classes. The course must bo completed and graded by October 12, 1934, if you are to get credit for your 1934 Summer Reading Courses. There will be no option to extend this deadline or reinstate your enrolment z'Azt this October 12, 1S34, deadline. PassNo PassrYou must mark the registration form "PN" for each course taken under this option. Regular PN rules of your college will - apply. Some courses have specific PN restrictions. Final date to change to or from PN is July 27. GRADE REPORTING Completion Dates: Required work should be completed by the deadline established by your instructor. ' - Final Fall contact with instructors will occur in September (nature of this contact will vary depending on the course). Grades will be recorded by instructors on October 12, 1984. If work is not completed and no drop is processed by the August 31 deadline, a grade of "F" will be recorded. In Residence Requirement: Courses with an "x" suffix do not qualify as resident credit and therefore SRC hours will not count toward the requirement that "at least 30 of the last 36 hours of credit needed for the degree must be registered for and completed in residence."
