Majority says 'cheers to Bill 1 Because Bill Allen's col umn (Daily Nebraskan, March 12) is bound to provoke many opposing comments from those as sociated with ASUN, we feel obligated to repres ent the vast majority of the students at UNL who agree completely with his statements. If Allen's comments are entirely false, we chal lenge ASUN to flex its political muscle by gett ing his columns banned from all future publicat ions. Three cheers to Bill for telling it like it is. Randal J. Veik sophomore engineering John S. Vock sophomore business DN headline affected voting Although I have no af filiation with the UNITE party, I feel that a very misleading headline (Daily Nebraskan, March 14) un fairly affected the out come of. Wednesday's ASUN elections. THe headline, "Error stops UNITE campaign", implied that the UNITE Party had been removed from the ballot, while in reality, the Electoral Com mission had ruled they not be allowed to distrib ute pamphlets, display cam paign posters, etc., on the day of the election. After reading the headline, it is logical to assume many potential UNITE voters cast their vote for other parties. The extent of the dam age will never be known, but it is obvious that the Daily Nebraskan showed poor judgment in run ning the misleading head line. Moreov er, some of the military adventures that General Butler refers to actually predate the establishment of the So viei Union. If we are as honest as General Butler, we would liave to admit that the forces he talked about are still at work today. Can we be as patriotic as -he and oppose them?
