Every aspect except music, that is. Several stout-hearted students danced the niht away at the Nebraska Union as part of a day-long dance-a-thon to raise money for Lincoln's Malone Community Center. Each hour they stayed on their feet meant more money for the center. "All the floors usually do things to raise money for their own floor funds " said Diane Newman, one of the dancers. "We just wanted to do this for fun; so we're giving the money to the I.Ialone Center." Those people were Stephanie Carter, Dave Engelhaupt, John Long, Pat Maloney, Newman, J.K. Purtzer, Kathy Rasmussen, Richard Runnels and Beth Schneider. Along with the dance-a-thon, the students sponsored an all-university dance Friday from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. "There was a two-dollar donation at the door," Runnels said. "It gives us a chance to raise more money to give the Malone Center." Runnels said about 60 to 70 people attended the Friday night dance. The students wont know how much money they raised until Dec.:16,i when the pled must be turned in, but they estimated that $5G0 would be collected.
