a model a mature, rcaporibla adult whose
behavior and attitudes provide a rcle raodel for the
child. ;
The volunteer should be consistent and reliable
with the child. The third objective i3 to encourage
communication. The relationship should encourage
and allow the child to talk about problems and
concerns with the volunteer.
The fourth objective is companionship. The
volunteer should provide support, friendship and
unci dir.:! to the child.
