Naturally the warden doesnt know Taylor, the
officer, b running the other half of the businc3, but
hl3 snitchc3 are cttlr.3 close to finding out; that 13,
until Erika, leader of the "bad" inmates, dispatches
them cr.e ty cr.;.
While the whole premise la difficult to follow and
even harder to believe, it Is farther confounded
when the warden Li killed by Taylor and her lead
guard. They then kill Linda's best friend, who wa3 in
the Jacuzzi with the warden when they got him
(dent ask).
The death to pinned on Erika, making it possible
for Linda to unite the downtrodden prisoners with
Erika's "bad" irto against Taylor. The climactic riot
and chase scenes end with Linda and Taylor on the
roof of the prison. Guess who kisses the sidewalk.
It's terribly difficult to like anyone in this movie.
It's even more dLV.cult to cheer for the inmates in
the final scenes; net even after they poke an evil and
sadistic guard through the neck ... in slow motion.
Unless you have a hatred toward the Hollywood
style beautiful woman, as the makers of "Chained
Heat" obviously did, the only enjoyable part of this
mean film is trying to answer the two main ques
tions it presents. First, why can't Linda Blair, Sybil
Danning, John Vernon, Stella Stevens and Henry
Silva find better jobs than these? And second, how
does Blair manage to keep her make-up and lipstick
in such exquisite shape regardless of the situation?
(She even comes out of solitary looking great!)
