Individuals or teams of students and faculty members can sign up for one or more of the leagues until Sept. 19, the first league day. Each scheduled league will bowl once a week. The cost will be $3 1.18 per semester. There also will be a $10 team deposit, that will be refunded at the end of each semester. Each league i3 limited to 10, four-person teams; To end the season in April, two teams from each league will compete in an All-University Roll Off, according to Roilie Hughes, union recreation manager. Last year's champion. B.L.U.F., from the Tuesday Collegiate League, won $50 per bowler. The first week of bowling will be non-competitive practice at no charge to the bowlers and beginning bowlers will be introduced to league bowling proce dures, Hughes said. A good portion of our leagues are usually begin ning bowlers," Hughes said. Any team or individual may sign up for the leagues by calling 472-2458 or stopping by the Recreation Room at the lower level of the union. The Recreation Room is open Monday through Thurs day 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Fridays 3:30 a.m. to 1 1:30 p.m., Saturdays 1 p.m. to 1 1:30 p.m., and Sundays 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Hughes said that residence halls, fraternity, and sorority groups can rent the Recreation Room lanes for private use for a special cost Other recreation activities in the Recreation Kooro inciuae oimaras, yu cents per hour for one player, $1.80 per hour for two or more players; board games and darts, free with a valid student I.D.; foosball, 25 cents per game; table tennis, $4.60 per hour for two players and $ 1 .20 per hour for four, and coin operated video pinball games. Open bowling, available only during special hours, costs 90 cents per line and 35 cents for shoe rental.
