Although complaints of noise disturbances on
campus decreased in the summer, thefts from open
university buildings continued, said Lt. John Burke
of the UNL police department.
The following incidents were reported to the
police between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 am. Sunday.
Friday
9:31 a.m. Purse reported stolen.
10:16 am. Purse reported stolen.
2:30 p.m. Cash reported stolen from billfold on
the north side of the Nebraska Union.
2:37 p.m. Larseny reported at Nebraska ETV
Network.
8:04 p.m. Suspicious person in front of Hamil
ton Hall was questioned by officers.
10:09 p.m. Disturbance complaint reported
from Pound Hall.
10:39 p.m. Loud party reported at 1548 R St.
Warnings were Issued for alcohol possession.
10:58 p.m. Loud party reported at 635 N. 16th
St. Partiers were cautioned by officers.
11:14 p.m. Loud party reported at 1515 R St.
Warnings were issued.
1 1 :32 p.m. Loud party reported at 1715 N. 16th
St. Officers gave people a warning.
Saturday
10:31 a.m. Belated fire reported in Abel Hall. A
pillow ignited by a light bulb. The fire was put out
before fire fighters arrived.
8 p.m. A disturbance reported at the Bob Deva
ney Sports Center was investigated by officers.
Sunday
12:29 a.m. Loud stereo disturbance reported at
1515 R St.
1:39 am. Loud stereo disturbance reported at
Triangle fraternity.
2:01 am. Larceny reported at Cather Hall. A
bookcase was stolen after its owner left it by the
stairs.
2:23 a.m. Disturbance reported in Parking Area
9. Parties fled upon arrival of the police.
2:39 a.m. Window reported broken in the 7000
building of Selleck Quadrangle.
2:49 am. Injury reported at Sigma Nu frater
nity. The victim, who fell down some stairs was
transported to Lincoln General Hospital. Victim
sustained cuts on the face and a possible broken
nose.
, 2:59 a.m. Disturbance reported in front of
Nebraska Union.
3 a.m. Officers responded to disturbance at the
Kellogg Center. Parties had refused to leave before
police arrived.
3:09 a.m. Loud stereo disturbance reported at
1715 N. 16th St.
6:16 a.m. Disturbance reported in the 4000
building of Selleck Quadrangel. Prowlers were
reported knocking on windows. No arrests were
made.
