And hide-a-beds are re-upholstered and re-conditioned to make them just like new, Lacy said. Goodwill offers no student discount but tries to stay in the low price-range Lacy said. . Salvation Army general supervisor Glen Longfel low said the Salvation Army, 737 P St., sells both as-is and re-upholstered furniture. As-is furniture has not been repaired or re-upholstered by the Salvation Army, he said. Prices range from $15 to $400 depending on how much repair was necessary, Longfellow said. The Salvation Army will be offering a student discount this fall, but Longfellow said the amount has not been determined. J.R.'s Secondhand, 630 VV. P St., sells beds, coffee tables, dressers, chairs, end tables and dining sets manager Joe Orosco said.
