Continued from Pase 4
hmrance and exit ramps for Grad-Park could he
located near the cafeteria back door. Students could get
lunch as they drive through. The system could be called
"Park It Your Way." With increased appeal, the univer
sity may ultimately need to add some floors above the
Grad-Park - maybe a spa room to work off extra pounds
accumulated from not walking to class.
As a safeguard 3gainst vandals or non -paying tres
passers, student identification cards would be implement
ed as passes. Vali-Dine cards could be used so that
students could Grad-Park and get a "Park It Your Way"
burger at the same time. In the beginning of each semes
ter students would have the option to buy a Grad-Park
plan, much like a meal plan.
Since there would be fewer parking spaces than stu
dents, the system could be run like a football lottery.
Mailed with the ,4pickle" lottery card (Grad-Park card)
a printed notice would be inserted in the envelope saying,
"Tliis parking ticket is strictly a chance. No spaces are
guaranteed and no refunds." Fees from cards would go
toward the construction of a glassed-in lounge atop the
garage.
For a finale, we would need a theme song. When
students drive up to stick their pickle cards into the com
puter, a recording (to the tune of the Burger King "Have
It Your Way" theme) would play: "Hold the pickle, hold
it, let us. Park your car, the cop won't get us. Only thing
you have to do is Park It Your Way."
