12:40 a.m. - Person tampering with emergency phone
by Architecture Hall; person gone when officer arrived.
1:13 p.m. - Accident reported at 17th and N streets;
UNL police assisted Lincoln police.
Shorts
An exhibit of the artwork and writings of Paul Johns
gard, a noted ornithologist and Foundation professor of
life sciences at UNL, is now on display in the Heritage
Room at Bennett Martin Public Library, 14th and N
streets.
The exhibit, sponsored by the Junior League of
Lincoln and the Lincoln City Libraries, will run until
May 31. Johnsgard will discuss his work Tuesday at 7:30
p.m. in the library's auditorium.
Health aide recruiting for the 1983-84 school year
begins Tuesday. Those wishing to apply for the health
aide position should call the University Health Center,
472-2102, for an interview.
Health aides are required to take classes in first aid and
cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They also cannot be a
student assistant in a residence hall. Health aides must
take Health Education 230 for both semesters of the
academic year.
March 15 is the deadline for applications for the (sum
mer) 1983 Park, Forest and Resource Assistants Pro
gram. Interested people should write the Student Con
servation Association, Inc., Box 550C, Charleston, N.H.
03603, or call 603-826-5206. Applicants must be at least
18 years old to quality for the volunteer program, which
lasts between eight and 12 weeks.
