Although they still play Christmas carols, they've turned more toward rag time, Latin American and jazz music, he said. The group performs its own arrange ments. Lawless said, because there's not a lot of music arranged for marimbas and xylophones. Members of the year-old group are John Scofield, a Lincoln Public Schools instrumental music teacher; Bob Maag, UNL music major; Tod Barnard and Larry Lawless, both UNL music majors and percussion section leaders of the UNL Marching Band; and Larry MacTaggart, a graduate student and member of the UNL Marching Band. The group has played at Chesterfield, Bottomsley and Potts, Chelsea's Pub and the Zoo Bar. They play at various elementary schools and once played on All Night Live - a national cable tele vision program. They will perform at Kimball Hall on Feb. 11 and 12 in the Nebraska Dance Ensemble and on Feb. 23 in their own recital. "We have various jobs and concerts through April," Lawless said, "but after that, our future is uncertain." u O O O o o 0 o V) 0 6 O it o 0 o 0 O o o o 0 O o o o 0 o o o o o o o o o o o o o o 0 0 o o o o Q o o e o o o o o o o o o o o o Now Offers SMORGASBORD 11 am - 2 pm 5 pm - 8 pm DAILY ALL YOU CAN EAT!
