Saturday march
for future children
On Jan. 22, 1973, abortion was legali
zed in the United States by the Supreme
Court. Saturday, a Walk For Life will be
in downtown Lincoln to remember the
thousands upon thousands of innocent
children whose lives have been lost due
to this decision. Hie Walk For Life will
have two-fold symbolism, sadness over
the loss of these children and hope for
the future that the decision will be re
versed. The walk itself will not bring back one
child, but it may help bring about public
support to change the Supreme Court
decision, and thus save a future child.
Please consider walking this Saturday
for the children.

evidenced among students and an attach
ment to passion in the stead of reason.
Mumgaard's comments would not be so
troublesome (and would have been sum
marily dismissed) were it not for the
fact that his "feelings," and actions based
upon "feelings," pervade the "freeze"
movement. There may be good reasons
to oppose the Reagan administration's
defense policies. However, the frcee
movement has not been able to responsi
bly communicate good justifications for
a freeze due to the virtual flood of material
written by individuals looking for a cause
in which to believe; individuals then
impassioned beyond the clear use of rea
son. That Mumgaard may have good reasons
to believe that he docs support a Jrceze.
and engage in a responsible dialogue may
be true. That Mumgaard presented any
good reasons in his column is not true.
As it stands. Mumgaard simply engaged in
irresponsible advocacy.
