"I think it's time for someone who is an advocate of the university to be elec ted," she said, "someone with a positive achange in the constitution to become effective. Prokop accused Hoch of not addressing any major issues and dealing mainly in generalities. "I can't deal with the issues if they are not brought up," he said. . A woman never has been elected to the NU Board of Regents, but this year women are challening in the general election in three districts. However, Hoch said she doesn't feel this is a campaign issue. Maritime conference set UNL will be the host of the First In ternational Conference on Maritime Antiquities Monday through Wednes day. The conference will be at the Nebraska Center, 33rd and Holdrege streets. Representatives from France, Den mark, Australia, the' Bahamas and the United States will attend. The pur pose of the conference is to address the issue of preserving underwater archaeological sites from destruction. The destruction has been brought about in a rapid rate by man's increa sing' exploration and exploitation of the world's oceans. Members of the conference will be greeted by Mayor Helen Boosalis and will take a tour of the state Capi tol.
