Before the clinic opened, the health center treated dermatology patients through their regular services. "To get treatments here, you must tirst see a doctor who comes twice a week to find out what must be done. Dr. (Rodney) Basler is contracted to the Health Center and does the consulting," said Shirley Van Buren, a registered nurse at the health center. , , . Van Buren said the clinic was used by about 3,667 patients last year. "I saw 400 regular patients last year with 800 different patients coming in also. About 30 patients come in when Dr. Bas ler is here, plus, about 30 come in per day for local care," she said. There is a $5 charge to see the doctor. If you go through acne treatment, there is a $15 charge per semester for local care, Van Buren said. "These charges are far below what you would have to pay if you went somewhere outside the university " she said. 'i have not heard any negative response from any of the patients who have come through. We do surveys about four times a year, and we haven't received any negative response from there," she said. "We get at least one new patient per day. We have had a waiting list before, but so far this year there hasn't been a need for one. Usually, toward the end of the year we have to start one," she said. Appointments are made in the health center, room 220, or can be made by phone. The clinic is open from 7 ajn. to 3:30 pjn. p FOE!: COLLEGE: SENIORS ARE YOU LOQECIR9 O A Challenge? O Travel? O A Chance to Manage People and Money $$ ? O Job Security? We May Haue The Answer ....
