Continued from Page 1 2 The music lovers can attend some of the rainy concerts that are part of the UNL All-State Fine Arts program, scheduled for June 6 through 18, Ray Mills, program dir ector, said. About 300 students from 70 different cities will participate in the program, which is more like a musical clinic than the state wide Honors Band. The public is welcome to attend any of the performances associat ed with the program. The Lincoln Artist's Guild has several shows planned for the summer, including a juried show and a sale at Miller and Paine from May 19 to 29. An Art in the Park show sponsored by the Guild and Lincoln Parks and Recreation will be June 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the corner of 27th and A streets, July 29 through 31, the Guild will have a show and sale at Gateway Shopping Center. Sheldon Art Gallery will have a special show entitled "The Sheldon Achieve ment," which features the best pieces in the permanent collection. The show runs May 4 to June 27. From May 4 to June 6, the art gallery also will have a show of photographic master works from the gallery's permanent collection. A special summer film series featuring Heroines of Hollywood" will be shown at the Sheldon film theater. Some of the works included are: She Done II im Wrong starring Mae West, A Woman Rebels star ring Katharine Hepburn, Twentieth Century starring Carole Lombard, Stage Door with Hepburn and Ginger Rogers, Marked Woman with Bette Davis, The lady Eve with Barbara Stanwyck, Ktiiy Foyle with oscar-winning Rogers, Dance, Girl, Dance, starring Marueen O'Hara and Lucille Ball and Woman of the Year -Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburns' first movie together. The movies will be showing Thursdays through Mondays from June 3 to August 22. Screening times will be 7 and 9 pjn. There will be Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Admission is $3, $2 for senior citizens, children and members of the Friends of the Sheldon Film Theater. CP jf - -) W V Got tl.
