Nebraska football Coach Tom Os
borne got some good news at Wed
nesday's practice: It appears quarter
back Nate Mason will be able to play in
Saturday's Red -White game.
Mason has been bothered by injur
ies all spring, the latest being a bruise on
his throwing arm.
"He (Mason) was out today but he
didn't throw," Osborne said Wednesday.
"We expect he'll be able to throw by
Friday and he should be able to play on
Saturday."
Mason's return was particularly good
news considering that two quarterbacks,
Turner Gill and Bruce Mathison, will

Turner strained a neck muscle during
a scrimmage last weekend.
