Charles Thone Thursday signed a proclamation naming Feb. 28 through March 6 Nebraska Model United Nations Week in the Capitol. Pictured left to right are Julie Imig, Gov. Model UN invites speakers Donald McIIcnry, former U.S. ambass ador to the United Nations, and Jean Gazarian, who has been with the United Nations since 1046, will be featured speakers during UNL Nebraska Model United Nations Week, March 3 through 6. Gazarian is the director of the Division of General Assembly Affairs for the United Nations in New York, according to Howard Dickerson, MUN secretary -general. The UNL event will begin with Mcllen ry's speech at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Ne braska Union. Admission is S3 for nonstu dents and free with a student ID. General Assembly committees will meet all day Thursday and Friday morning. Gazarian will speak March 5 at 10:30 ajn. in the union. Admission is free. The General Assembly will end March 6 at 6 p.m. The NMUN International Court of Jus tice will hear its first case Thursday at 4 p.m. Match 5 at 3:30 pjn. the court will hear the Iraq vs. Iran case, which involves the bombing of a nuclear reactor in Iraq. The court's final case, the United Slates vs. the Soviet Union, is March 6 at 9:30 a.m. It is about the use of biological wea pons, said John Sunnygard, court president.
