Board discusses changes in the union
Committee reports were given at the Union Board
meeting Wednesday night.
Steve Hardy, of the Food Service Committee, said
there have been some complaints about changing the ser
vice in the Colonial Dining Room from waiterwaitress
to self-service.
Hardy said the dining room will be remodeled during
spring break at a cost of $22,750. He also said Union

man arrested for theft
A description published in the Feb. 19 issue of the
Daily Nebraskan has led to the arrest and arraignment of a
Lincoln man, according to UNL Police.
David E. Clark, 1425 N. 22nd St., was arrested Monday
night at his residence by UNL Police Officers Deborah
Larkin and Bud Schawl.
University Police said a burglary involving a car parked
in the Nebraska Union metered parking lot occurred Wed
nesday between 3:00 and 4:20 p.m.
The thief entered a Chevrolet and removed a briefcase,
tape recorder, calculator, garment bag, two suits, shirts
and neckties, said the report, filed by Investigating Officer
Larry Kalkowski. Value of the loss was $625. The victim
was a visitor to the UNL campus.
Police also reported the team banner from Oxford High
School, Oxford, Neb., was stolen from the Bob Devaney
Sports Center sometime between Feb. 19 and 20.
The banner is valued at $1,500. A $50 reward is being
offered for its return.

Union Square accounted for 49 percent of the January
food service income in the unions, Hardy said.
Laura Meyer, of the Operations Committee, said speak

for union office space which will be taken until 5 p.m.

Board President Maynard Krantz said the Committee
for Fees Allocation's decision whether to accept the
board's budget request at a 5 percent instead of a 10 per
cent increase was postponed until Thursday night.
CFA heard an appeal from the board Tuesday night.
With a 5 percent increase, the unions are asking CFA
for $558,750 in student fees for 1982-83. This year, the
unions received $564,213.
Nominations for president, vice president and secre
tary were taken. Additional nominations will be taken
Wednesday, when the vote will be taken.
