Martha Murdock, 21, a senior journal
ism major from Omaha, was selected Wed
nesday as editor-in-chief of the Daily Ne
braskan for next semester by the UNL Pub
lications Board.
Murdock interned with the Minneapol
is Tribune in the summer of 1981 as a copy
editor. She has worked at the Daily Nebras
kan for five semesters as night news editor,
copy editor and reporter.
I applied for this position because after
writing, editing and working as night news
editor at the Daily Nebraskan, there are
some things I want to change and some
things I want to keep the same," she said.
"I want to see what effect I can have on
the paper, and I think my influence would
be beneficial."
