Continued (torn Page 1 Lippencott said the anti-Vietnam vet attitude has diminished somewhat, partial ly iue to time and partially due to people realizing that although it was a stupid war, the veterans still wore the U.S. uniform. "I think people are remembering that we only did what we were told,' Lippen cott said. "Of course, that's what they said in Nazi Germany, but that was the case in the war. People begin to realize that we weren't all drug addicts and baby killers. Time is still the biggest healer of them all." Both Bauer and Lippencott are follow ing the progress of a Vietnam War monu ment that is being constructed in Washing ton, D.C. The structure, which Bauer de scribes as "extremely simple," will be made of black granite. Across its front will be the names of all the men who died in the Vietnam War. "It should be something that should grow on you, make you think about the wir," Bauer said.
