In the past year ASUN accomplished the following
STUDENT SERVICES:
Book Exchange serves a record breaking 1000 students.
Credit Union increases accounts by almost 50.
Student Legal Services aids hundreds of students monthly.
Paper Money brings savings to students and faculty.
AStAsponsors voter registration drive yearly.
ASUN provides campus maps to new students and visitors
Sponsors speakers including NU Regents.
STUDENT ISSUES:
Opposed construction of the A.E Radial Highway.
Called for increased funding of Affirmative Action Programs.
Opposed increase of graduate and undergraduate tuition rates.
Opposed institution of lab fees.
Endorsed the formation of the State Student Association.
Called for increased awareness of ethnic and women's studies.
Lobbied on state and federal levels with issues of student concern
a. supported 18 increase in UNL Budget.
b. opposed cuts in Guaranteed Student Loans.
