RECREATION CENTER SURVEY
The object of this survey is to indicate the extent of student support for the con
struction of a Student Recreation Complex.
The UNL Administration has indicated that a survey of this nature is necessary
before additional planning stages may be implemented. These planning stages in
clude: consulting the Central Planning Committee to determine a building site; con
sulting architectural firms for preliminary building designs, which is necessary to
determine the content and cost of the facility; contacting possible outside sources
of funding; exploring various funding methods; etc.
If this survey indicates sufficient student interest, these planning stages will be
undertaken, culminating in a student survey in March, 1982 which will give stu
dents an opportunity to approve or disapprove the construction of the complex
based on facility location, building content, cost per student, etc. The amount of
financial support indicated in question No. 4 is non-binding, it is merely an indica
tion of the amount of student financial support we can expect.
