The committee was formed because of complaints re ceived by Schrader and the Chancellor from professors saying that the bells were disrupting classes, Schrader said. During the last month no complaints about the bells have been made except when the timing of the bells has been off, Schrader said. He said none of the complaints he has received were from students. On the days when the bells are permitted to ring, they will not begin until 11:20 aaii. and will stop ringing at 6 pjn., Schrader said. The bells will follow the same scheduled times during the weekend except on football Saturdays when the bells will begin at noon and ring almost continuously, Schrader said. He said this will be the last Saturday the bells will ring. Disruptions can not be completely prevented because classes run all day, Schrader said. Rich and Willa Jones, graduate music students are re sponsible for preparing the tapes used in the tower, Schrader said. He said they run the bells manually on football Sat urdays. In the future, music appropriate to the holidays and special occasions will be played, Schrader said.
