Pauline Kael Workshop features women's heritage A regional conference on the heritage and future of women, will be sponsored by the UNL Women's Stud ies Association, is schedul ed for Nov. 15 and 16 at the Nebraska Center for Continuing Education. Registration for the two day conference will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, with fees of $12.50 for students and $18 from the public. Activities will include presentations of papers on topics relevant to women, entertainment and a reg ional general meeting. Moira Ferguson, chair person of the Women's Studies Department, said the conference will include "a mix" of topics for all women. She said that be cause this is the first time the regional conferences will be in Lincoln it should be a boost to the UNL Women's Studies program. "It is important because it brings together women from the community and the academy," Ferguson said. Keynote speaker for the event is author and poet Michelle Cliff, who will speak on "Passing: the Fear of Difference and the Denial of Wholeness." She also will speak on campus about the problems of rac ism, Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Sandoz Residence Hall lounge, and at 3:30 p.m. in the Andrews Hall 2nd floor lounge, she will talk about a book she edited. The conference will end with a concert by a lesbian feminist singer and song writer, Meg Christian. She will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Kimball Recit- sgyff Campus Red Cross is sponsoring a recruitment booth in the Nebraska Union for the University Blood Drive on Dec. 2 and 3. The booth is open to day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Home Economic Education Association will meet tonight at 6:30 in the Home Economics Building. Room 121 . Speaker Bobby Sward will talk on extension careers. The Inter-Varsity Christ ian Fellowship will meet to morrow night at 7 in the Nebraska Union. Room will be posted. There will be a Pre-Med workshop on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Nebraska Union. The Women's Law Cau cus Lectureship Committee is sponsoring a speaker on Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon in the College of Law.
