Continued from Page 4 Bible condemns murder (abortion (?)), as well as homo sexuality (along with pre- and extra marital sex). God for gives, but He requires repentance (turning away from sin). God also made man and woman and He made them different, not one superior to the other, but different, so why should we have to treat them the same? I do want each person to reach their full potential, but we don't need to take away their individuality to do so. Christians, pray for the government "that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and dignity" (I Timothy 2:2). BUlingsley Senior, Mathematics Cruelty is deplored I am an old woman. I generally think well of college students, but there is one point on which I am at odds with them. They adopt puppies and kittens during the semester and then abandon them at the end of the year. What happens to the -animals then? They survive maybe two months at most -less in the winter. They are mauled by larger animals, killed or crippled by careless drivers, shot by thrill-seeking cowards or they just simply die of starvation because they have lost the skill to hunt because of their domestication. Their deaths are ugly and painful-and needless if you take the responsibility of owning a cat or dog, then don't let them run wild. Put a collar and I J), oh them so if they are lost, someone will return them to you. I have seen more animals hit by cars because of their owners' stupid ity. Guard your animal against misfits. If your tomcat or dog roams or strays, have it neutered-the same goes for the female animals. This is not cruel; studies, in fact, show that neutering prolongs the animal's life. The cost is less than an evening out with beer and pizza. Some pointers: 1 . If you plan to abandon your animal at semester's end, give it to the Humane Society.
