The bicycle race course, mile, is designed to pass fre quently by spectator stands. Three races are scheduled for the event that is sanctioned by the United States Cycling Federation. Prizes for the races total $2,000. The first race, a 5-mile citizens race, will determine who the fastest novice rider in Lincoln is. Riders must have helmets, be 14 years old and have signed a release form. Riders under 19 years old must have a consent form signed by their parents. A 15 -mile race for intermediate riders will start at 12:30 pjn. The senior race, which is billed as the main event, will feature $1,000 in prizes in a 35-mile race. All three sanctioned races will represented by riders from the Lincoln-based Nebraska Racing Team. All races will be on the same course and will be an nounced by an experienced rider who will help explain the race. Spectators will be informed of individual and team tactics, as well as progress of home town riders. Special events "prime' sprints will be held during the races.
