The season was filled with a chain of victories, broken records and a stock-piled list of first place finishes, which established them as the team to beat in the Big 8. The Husker women went undefeated in duals, won the Big 8 Championship, finished third nationally and set 9 new school records. Coach Carol Frost said the main reason for their success was that the whole team performed well, producing a unified team effort. Frost added that team closeness at Nebraska makes track a pleas urable experience for both team and coach. Leading the team are captains Janet Bates and Sue Kobza. Yet throughout the sea son the team has pulled together for victory. And they will be at their best this Friday and Saturday, May 2nd & 3rd, for the Women's Big 8 Outdoor Track Meet.
