broaden their narrow minds and examine oppression
throughout the world before they begin to propagite their
simplistic solutions among this student body.
Do not despair; change in South Africa wl come. Just
as the British woo the Boer war, but eventually lost power
to the Afrikaner majority, so will black rule replace the
current minority government. Funny thing, though, when
apartatid finally ends after a long and partkulaify bloody
war, oppression, racism and the persecution of ethnic
groups will remain in the world.
It rmght be nice if the students at the Vm decided to
make amends and help improve the institution.
Cooperation does more than bickering, and despite our
taxied cultures, opinions and ethnic backgrounds, we
should still be friends. For those who disagree, a black
classmate of mine from Nigeria advised, "People complain
too much around here. No one made them come here. If
they don't like it, they can go home.-
