The move was prompted by the urging of the UNL Women's Resource Center, according to Marcee Metzger of the Center. The week begins with a Pro-Choice March and Rally. Pro-Choice groups advo cated the freedom to decide whether or not to have abortions. The march starts at 11 ajn. at the State Capitol where several speakers, including state senators, will ad dress the issue of abortion rights. Singer-songwriter Holly Near will be in concert 8 pjn. Sunday in the Nebraska Union's Centennial Room. Near's music concerns peace, culture and feminism, according to the Center. The latest of her four record albums is "Imagine my Sur prise," voted best album of the year by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors. Former political prisoner Featured Women's Week speaker is Ginetta Sagan who will talk April 22 on "International Affairs and Human Rights: One Woman's View." According to the Center, Sagan began her support for human rights as a non-violent worker in the Italian and French resistance of World War II. Currently associated with Amnesty International and Humanitas, groups work ing for individual freedoms, Sagan was once a political prisoner. sentation on "Lesbianism and Feminism" by the Lincoln Legion of Lesbians at 7:30 pjn. Tim Snyder will present two rape and assault prevention workshops on April 23 at 3 pjn. and April 24 at 7 pjn. Teresa Lafromboise, assistant professor of educational psychology and measure ments, will speak on "Native American Women's Roles" April 23. A slide show on 12 women will be shown at 7 pjn. and a "Men's Awareness Workshop" will be 7 pjn. April 23, follow ed by a lecture on "Planning a Verbal Pre sentation."
