According to Larry Brandt, exec utive director of the union food services, the Bakery will cut five hours weekly in its operations closing at 3 pjn Monday through Friday, instead of 4 p jn. Terraces, on the East Union Campus, will reduce oper ations on Saturday by three hours. Presently operating from 7 ajn. to 6 pm.. Terraces will be closed from 1 pjn. to 4 pjn. on Saturdays, Brandt said. The board received a report from secretary Robert Molinc on the progress of student organization room assignments in the unions. Moline said that any organiza tion which desires a room allocation in the unions should complete an application and return it to 220 Union by April 11. Other agenda items for the board included discussing possible Greyhound Bus weekend service from the union to Omaha, and tentative union summer hours. Krantz said both topics are still in the workings and that he hopes to receive student input on them before the next meeting. Quinn . . . Continued from Page 10 Among those challengers will be Mark Mauer, Bruce Mathison, Steve Michaelson and Nate Mason. Quinn said his goal during the spring is to become the "complete" quarterback and added one of the things he needs to improve on to accomplish that goal is throwing deep. "I am really anxious for spring ball because it's my last year," Quinn said. "I've been here for five years and it all starts coming to an end this spring." The Huskcrs graduate seven offensive starters from last year's squad that was among the nation's leaders in total offense. Four out of the five starting offensive linemen, including All-Big Eight center Kelly Saalfeld, are gone as well as all three of the starting receivers, Junior Miller, Tim Smith and Kenny Brown. But Quinn said the Huskers can replace what was lost. "Last year, we had to rebuild the offensive line, but we had some seniors like Dan Steiner that came along and did . a good job," he said. "The potential is here for that to happen again. We've also got some good people at the re ceiver spots as well." Coming into the 1980 season, the running game appears to be the Huskers' strong suit. The Huskers return Heisinari Trophy candidate I-back Jarvis Redwine, full back Andra Franklin and back-up I-back Craig Johnson. In 79, that trio of backs combined for over 2,000 yards. Despite the impressive statistics, Quinn said the Huskers will try to stay away from being known as a "running team." "With the I-formation, the balance between the pass and run has to be there," Quinn said. "Last year, we got off-balance at times when we ran the ball well but couldn't throw, and it hurt our effectiveness. We've got to have that balance to be effective." Because of heavy graduation losses, Quinn said think ing about Penn State and Oklahoma now is a little pre mature. "I am sure it (the season) is in the back of everyone's minds, but first we're going to concentrate on having a good spring," Quinn said. "We need to secure a lot of positions that are up in the air and concentrate on becom ing a better team by the end of the spring." OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCX OK 9R a 525 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 (S "R" Street UJ III.
