Entomology lecture
Two Chinese entomologists will speak at UNL Tuesday
and Wednesday. Dr. and Mrs. Pu Zhe-long, from Sun Yat
sen University in the People's Republic of China, will pre
sent lectures both for faculty and students and the general
public.
Mrs. Pu, who has a master's degree in entomology from
the University of Minnesota in 1949, will present a letture
to faculty and students on insect research at 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday in UNL's Life Sciences Building, Manter Halt
A lecture on the higher education system inChina also
will be presented Tuesday in the Board Room at Regents
Hall. Dr. Pu, who earned his PhD. in 1949 from the Uni
versity of Minnesota, will begin his talk at 4:30 pjn.
The general public is invited to attend Dr. Pu's lecture
on "Life in a People's Commune in China," which will be
held Wednesday in Room 129 in Manter Hall. It will
at 9 a.m.
Dr. Pu has held a position as a professor at Sun Yat-sen
University since 1949. He also serves as vice-president of
the university.
Mrs. Pu has been serving as a professor at the university
since 1951.

Auburn University which were published in the current
issue of the ACA Association for Communication Admin
istrators) Bulletin, according to Gus Friedrich, speech de
partment chairman. ' V

UNL's department ranked 21st in overall quality of
doctoral programs among institutions represented in the
study. Kansas, rated Uth, was the. only institution in the
Big Eight which achieved a higher rating.
