Donald Dworak of Columbus commended the regents for demanding complete and public investigation of the infant death at the NU Medical Center. x The letter, which was mailed to all Nebraska media stated that Dworak was concerned about present policies which allowed a Sept. 6 death to occur following a saline induced abortion. "As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I, as well as the public, will be vitally interested in the thoroughness and results of your probe," Dworak said in the letter. At the Friday meeting, the regents refused to discuss the Omaha incident because it is under investigation by Douglas County Attorney Donald Knowles. The regents passed a resolution Friday banning non -therapeutic abort ions at the Medical Center. 3 BEFORE YOU PACK UP YOUR DEGREE, pncEt oun HWTERvnErj.
