I am sure that this letter will, once again, start a con
troversy concerning the Greek houses. My suggestion to
the Greeks is twofold: either live up to the ideals that you
purport to believe in or else do not complain when you
are caught in your own hypocrisies. Secondly, perhaps the
presidents of each house could have a talk with their
members concerning open exhibitions of sexual immatur
ity. Better yet, have the people from the Rape Crisis Cen
ter come in to explain the politics of sexual harassment to
the residents. It would be nice to think that the fraterni
ties contributed in some way to the maturation of their
members.

Tuition increase
Recently, the question of a 10 percent raise in the
1980-1981 tuition for UNL students has been debated by
many. However, there are other expenses which may put
students out of the education bracket as of right now!
Presently, I am a student on the UNL campus, but am
being forced to commute to UNO in order to gain a Social
Work degree. Besides the hassle of commuting twice a
week, the expense is also starting to cut into my budget
an added expense not included in tuition. With the in
crease in fuel prices, the cost of commuting is ridiculous.
Even a car pool, which helps cut expenses, may be un
affordable by some. Maintenance of the automobile must
be provided, also costing extra money. ,
If I wanted to be a member of the UNO community, I
would have applied there to go to school. Rather, I want
Salaries .... .

Artists, columnists and reviewers are paid by the piece
and pay is determined by amount of work required for
the piece. The comic strip artist receives $5 a strip.
The advertising staff is paid strictly on a percentage of
sales basis.
Remember, these are students who otherwise might be
working at Wendy's. An hourly wage breakdown for many
of them would be appallingly low for work expectations.
the Daily Nebraskan traditionally shows a profit. The
profit prediction for this year is $3,708. The money is in
vested in the paper's name. It is used in the event that the
paper loses money any semester.
The Daily Nebraskan is largely a student run business.
It isorun on a semester-to-semester basis, with the expect
ed turnovers and staffing problems. A professional busi
ness manager rides shotgun over the financial end of
things, presenting a budget to the Publications Board.
They make any changes and present it to the people who
determine student fees. "After the expected haggling, it
goes to the NU Board of Regents for final Approval.
There, in a tight nutshell, are some elements of the
Daily Nebraskan's budget. If there are any questions, the
books are open, and class is closed.

to participate in the UNL community. Moving the Social
Work courses back to UNL would give the students who
cannot afford to commute an opportunity to gain a de
gree in a course of study in which they are really interested.

Not Christian
The Unification Church is a deceptive organization.
For example, they utilize the Bible, as most cults do, to
obtain their own objectives.
They claim they are Christian, but they are not. Chris
tianity is a monotheistic, Christ-centered faith, whereas
"Moonianity" is a polytheistic, Moon-centered religion.
They worship Reverend Moon and equate him with God.
The flowers and smiles cannot compare with Christ's
love that was demonstrated on the cross.

How about "hope?" Lots of people these days
do good for other people, and that's great.
But this old world is up to its meridians
In problems. Can't help but be frustrating. The
Christian, however, can be joyful. He has hope.
He knows Cod is running the show. And that
it comes out all right in the end. He may not know
how, or why, but he knows. The Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ) is among those
working and knowing.
