The show will incorporate a musical diversity ranging from soft melodic love songs to the high energy rock of their re w;ntiy released LP Dr. Heckle and Mr. Jive. The LP Is a transitional one for the duo, who began as a Dallas-based folk group. The new album points them toward a more open rock and roll format with a little help from veteran producerperformer Todd Rundgren. Rundgren wrote the first single release from the album, "Love Is the An swer," and helps with the production. The shift in style is reproduced on stage with an all new line up. England Dan has expanded his role by playing saxaphonc, and John Ford Coley has added a synthe sizer to his responsibilities. The new live piece rock band includes Don Gorman on drums; Dudda Keith on guitar, harmonica and vocals; John Leland on bass; Ovid Stevens on lead guitar; and Michael Vernacchio on keyboards. The show will be opened by former Spirit and Jo Jo Gunne member Jay Fcrgu son. Ferguson has three solo albums behind him. The first All Alone in the luidzonc was a critical success, and his last two have established him commercially.
