be transfered to the NU
Foundation, which trans
fered the money to the
Medical Center, which
wrote t check for the legal

Koefoot said $32,000
had been paid In that way
before the regents found
out about it.
Burrows commented that
he did not understand the
reason.
On the question of free
veterinary and diagnostic
testing at East Campus,
Koefoot said the regents
dealt with the matter at a
May 20, 1978 meeting, and
decided on a fee structure
that would correct problems
mentioned in Prokop's
letter.
Burrow) said he hoped
that matter could be re
solved through discussion
and would not have to be
included in study resolu
tion. Burrows said he would
like to study the possi
bility of conflicts of inter
est that could be created
by consultantships held by
professors involved in
research, TTie possibility
that a researcher could be
paid by firm involved in
his research is worth study
ing Burrows said.
"Both of you (Prokop
and Koefoot) have spoken
with us in good faith, and
evidently one of you is
wrong, Burrows told Koe
foot. Koefoot said that Prokop
is opposed to most things
accomplished at the board
level, Koefoot said
he prefers to go with the
majority decision. '

The NU Board of Re
gents w2T decide whether
to increase student fees,
effective September 1979,
by $150 per student it
their Saturday meeting.
' This would mesa stu
dent fees would increase
from 56650 to $69 a
semester.
The fonrid meeting wIS
start at 1:30 piru, with the
Academic Affairs and Bus
iness ribcorxsnittees meet
ing in the morning.
The resents w3 also con
sider a $3 per year increase
in student fees at the
csl Center. The additions
funds would be ven to the
Center Student Senate.
