UNL qualifies three
for forensic tourney

Three UNL students qualified for the National' Indi
vidual EventsToumament, sponsored by the American
Forensics Association, hi the District IV Qualifying
Tournament. ' " n "
Iowa State University hosted the tournament in Ames
Friday and Saturday.
Kate Joeckel, Lincoln freshmanrwon the Extempo
raneous Speaking division of. the. tournament. Rhonda
Arthur, Nebraska City sophomore, won the Oral Inter
pretation of Drama "event and Kathy. Bjorklun, Kearney
freshman r finished third in Informative Public Address
and also qualified for the NIET. . : : - -
In addition, Joeckel was named second alternate In In
formative Public Address and Bjorklun was a second al
ternate in Extemporaneous Speaking. They. will compete
at the NET if other District IV winners are unable to
attend. - .
District IV includes North Dakota, South Dakota,
Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
