CSL will exercise all of its current powers and have their judicial powers vested in another appropriate existing or newly formed body. Many of the senators expressed concern for continuing CSL as an intermediate body between students, admini strators and faculty members. ASUN has voted to with draw CSL's out -of-classroom judicial power. The senate also rejected a proposal for a change in campus by-laws that would give the ASUN Senate more governing powers. The proposal, written by ASUN member Tim Mommaerts was submitted without the endorsement of ASUN. ASUN First Vice-President Bob Moodie explained that Mommaerts is an appointed administrative member of ASUN and that the ASUN Senate had no prior know ledge of the special report before it was submitted. ASUN President Ken Marineau also discussed reasons for the reshuffling of ASUN committees. He said a communications problem within the Senate led to the consolidation of the existing 28 committees and that four commissions are being designed to replace the committees. "We want to be more effective in what we are doing but we want to do it responsibly," Marineau said. He added that the movements are not politically motivated but are management moves. it's the real thing a oiierce i !
