thursday, november30, 1978 daily nebraskan page 1 1 Fund raising cagers play Friday night A fund raising marathon basketball game will begin Friday night and continue throughout the weekend in the women's P.E. building. The basketball marathon, sponsored by the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity, a pro fessional business fraternity, begins at 7 pjn. Friday and ends at 3 pjn. Sunday. Twenty-two teams from dorms, fraternities, and businesses around town will play the fraternity about two hours each. The pur pose of the marathon is to raise money for Christmas presents for retarded chil dren in the Lincoln area. "We raised around $1500 last year and we're trying to get at least that this year," said Brad Ewerth of Delta Sigma Pi. The first game will be a gainst the faculty from the UNL College of Business Administration. They will also play a co-ed team and a girls team from a dorm ac cording to Ewerth. sports short Today is the deadline to register for the UNL Rec reation Department's trips to Mexico over Christmas break.
