Children's author L'Engle
to make UNL appearances
Madeleine L'Engle, well known author
of 24 books, will be making Lincoln
appearances today and tomorrow.

notes
A prolific writer of childrens' literature,
L'Engle is best known for her book A
Wrinkle in Time, which was awarded the
1963 Newberry Medal for "the most dist
inguished contribution to childrens' liter
ature." As well as writing, L'Engle has also
worked as an actress, country store-keeper,
and is married to actor Hugh Franklin, Dr.
Charles Tyler of All My Children.
She will discuss her work tonight at
7:00 in the Centennial Room of the Ne
braska Union, and Tuesday from 11:30 to
1 p.m. at the Nebraska Bookstore.
