Dalhke said the attempt to attract a major group like the Eagles, Bee Gees or Linda Ronstadt failed because the matter was out of the control of UPC and "in control of the groups touring." Meyer said an ehtnic fes tival will occur homecoming morning under the Love library Link. Different ethnic groups will have booths set up, and there will be food and entertainment. This year there will be individual chapter displays, instead of two chapters joining to make one display, according to Mike Mullally, Interfrater nity Council committee rep resentative. The individual chapter displays will provide for more displays, Mullally said. Some chapters already had agreed to work together on displays, but these dis plays will not be judged. There also will be a con test for dorm floor displays on both campuses, Mullally said. A certificate will be awarded for the best display in each dorm,- and a plaque presented for the best display on campus. Elect royalty The election of home coming royalty will be Oct. 10 and 11, according to Julie Romohr, Panhellenic committee representative. This year there will be nine king and nine queen finalists, three each repre senting Greeks, indepen dents, and off -campus stu dents.
