Lecturer: extrasensory perception gives inner peace
By Kim Wilt
Although only eight people attended
the Inner Peace Movement lecture last
Wednesday night, Susan Kellog, a na
tional lecturer with the movement, said she
was not disappointed.
People will tell their frineds about the
movement, she said, adding, "it grows be
cause of the need."
The Inner Peace Movement was or
ganized "so people have an opportunity
to find a balance in their mental, spiritual
and physical lives, " she said. The move
ment was founded in 1964 by Dr. Francis-

leader. It now claims over a quarter of a
million participants.
In her lecture, Kellog emphasized that
all people have their own form of extra
sensory perception, also known as a soul,
energy or life force. This life force has been
measured by scientists at four watts, she
said.
Souls give guidance
All souls have states of consciousness,
she said, which are understandings and feel
ings about life, and are different every day.
States of consciousness affect each other,
which is where ESP comes in, she said.
Souls which are depressed, for example, at
tract other depressed souls.
The idea, Kellog said, is to maintain a
balanced state of consciousness. "When we
have a balanced state of consciousness, we
have a thought for every feeling and a
feeling for every thought."
To help with this, every person's soul
has a team of souls, "or guardian angels,"
who work with it to give spiritual gui
dance, and help it discover its spiritual
gifts of perception, she said.
Souls have spiritual gifts
Spiritual gifts fall into four categories,
and each soul is mostly in one category,
she said. According to Kellog the four
types of spiritual gifts are:

Intuitive: A person picks up a thought
and understands it by hearing it.
Visionary: This person "sees" a
thought, in the form of colors or symbols.
Prophetic: A person with this gift would
know a thought as a whole, would be able
to predict the future.
Feeling: A person "feels" a thouaht.
Kellog also said that in each person's
life there are "cycles of development"
which last seven years, and each are dif
ferent. fFof example, the years between the ages

:kfuidiM people in this cycle have a
desire to fit in with their peers. The cycle
of ages 21 to 28 is the "cycle of maturity",
she said, when people are deciding how to
live their lives.
